You just have to keep an open mind till you get to your initial meeting point at the beginning because till then you are on your own, once you are there, the whole team takes great care of you.Be sure to read the Special Notes further down this page for important requirements and restriction. It's a small but spacious area and was not crowded when we went so kids had a great time. If you want you can get a massage on the beach (extra price), which was totally worth it as well. At the beach area, the restaurant/ beach team takes over and you have a great time - beach chairs and umbrellas are provided. Once you are ready, you get on the cabs organized by them which takes you to the beach area. Once you get to the meeting point, they serve you welcome waters, beer and soda - again a really nice bunch of people. What to expect - you need to walk yourself through the port area and come out to the meeting point (Cantina Restaurant) which is a decent 30-40 minutes walk on the way out if you dont know where you are going, on the way back it was a quick 15-20 minutes walk since we knew where we were headed. The bathrooms are not clean and that’s the only reason for not giving a 5 star rating. The team that works at the beach and the restaurant are really nice people!!! They ran back and forth fulfilling our orders with smiles on their faces, the food was delicious, the cocktails were yummy and they kept refilling the chips and salsa or any bottled water requests. We did clean up after ourselves as best we could and put the pool cushions back where the girl had gotten them from.Īnyway, it was a wonderful time! So much better than anything we could have done through the ship where people are herded like cattle. And as they were leaving for the day, they told us we could stay as long as we wished and to just go out through a certain gate! Not sure if they would do that for everyone or if we just met the “looks trustworthy” test. They even brought us out drinks to the pool and put them in the shade for us. Between us we had margaritas, a pina colada, a strawberry daiquiri, and sodas. And it was an open bar the entire time we weren’t being massaged.

Then we had the pool (behind the restaurant and beside the room where the massages are done) all to ourselves!!! And it felt great (not too hot or too cold). Then we got massages (two of us in the same room my husband gave me his 30 minutes as he didn’t want a massage) and my only disappointment there was it was a true 30 minutes for my husband’s sister but only 50 minutes total for me. The chips were gluten-free (my husband’s sister is gluten issues) and very good with these two dips we made.
#BEACH ESCAPE BEACH CLUB COSTA MAYA HOW TO#
We were oddly the only ones there so had the whole place to ourselves other than for the workers! It was a terrific private event! We were taught how to make guacamole to each of our own preferences (no cilantro for me, little tomato for my husband, etc.) and ceviche for three people who don’t eat fish (other than salmon for me)! They gave my husband shrimp to cook in lemon juice and the other two of us cooked onions in lemon juice. Outside the restaurant was a nice chalkboard with eight names on it - mine (but not the other two in my party whom I booked for) and seven others. The restaurant truly is only about a block from the port gate getting to that gate from the ship is a far longer walk. We booked this event via TripAdvisor and has no idea it would turn out to just be the three of us (my husband and his sister also went).

Getting Here Instructions Guide: Transportation was something we always found challenging while on cruises and sometimes challenging can mean stressful. Our guests do not have to find a specific driver, or special bus then worry they got on the wrong one. One thing that makes La chilangaloense Beach different from all other beach clubs in Costa Maya is that we include the transportation to come to our beach club.
